To respond to the labs' expressed desire for faster, cleaner working, Vertex Dental has been analysing different processes with their customers. It emerged that there was a clear need for new materials with:
- prolonged cast ability
- prolonged mould ability
- stable polymerisation
- high colour stability
- reduced shrinkage
In respond to these desires, Vertex-Dental introduced new materials like Vertex Castavaria, Vertex Castaquick and Vertex Implacryl Cold.
These resins satisfies the ISO 1567 standard for denture base polymers which lays on criteria for the physical performance and compatibility of end products.
The following physical performance values are regarded as important:
- flexural strength
- impact strength
- water sorption
- solubility, and
- colour stability
As for compatibility, products are evaluated in terms of the residual monomer, toxicity and potential mutagenic characteristics.
The new Vertex MultiCure machine, the new Putty 1:1, the new brushes and the new pour type silicones Castasil 21, can be seen a response to the lab's faster working desire!
Cost saving, speed up processes and a better contact with the dentists are the final result.
